FIFA gives agrees to goal-line technology

The International Football Association Board have voted in favour of FIFA introducing goal-line technology into the game of football.
The IFAB, the body that determines the laws of the game, met today to discuss the implementation of two specific technologies to aid match officials in determining goal-line decisions.

A number of high-profile cases have hit the sport in recent years, including Frank Lampard’s incorrectly disallowed goal for England against Germany at the 2010 World Cup, Ukraine’s incorrectly disallowed goal against England during Euro 2012 and, at club level, Sulley Muntari’s incorrectly disallowed goal for Milan against Juventus last season.
FIFA are now in support of assisting their referees with technology and its ratification from the IFAB means that the governing body can now consider which of two systems - Hawk-Eye and GoalRef - to progress forwards with.
Technology could begin to be implemented in stadiums as soon as the start of the calendar year of 2013.

FIFA World Rankings: England better than Italy??

FIFA released the world rankings for this month, and one big surprise is how could England be ranked as 4th while Italy who won World title on 2006 and were finalists on this edition of EURO are only ranked 6th with a total of 1192 points. You could find out or might never know the answer it is probably a million dollar question. It is also surprising to see Brasil lying on the 11th place with 1012 points, a selection that has mega-talents on the squad, like Julio Cesar, Daniel Alves, Kaka, Robinho, Hulk, Neymar and Co. While Argentina's Messi who beat Brasil by himself on a friendly by scoring hat-trick on them, is occupying 7th place with 1095 points. Spain as expected are first placed with total of 1691 points, they became a squad who everyone should be afraid of. Can Messi and Co. bring Spain down to earth, or can Neymar, Kaka, Robinho do that? Right now Spain look unbeatable from the top.

Mediaset reports that Milan are interested in Walter Gargano. Galliani has reportedly been in contact with the player's agent.
Corriere dello Sport claims that Thiago Silva will try to convince Nesta to return to Milan.

There are at least 3-4 Premier League clubs that are interested in signing Maxi Lopez, according to Corriere dello Sport.
Gattuso will earn €2 million per season at FC Sion. His contract with the Swiss club expires on the 30th of June 2014

FIFA will make a decision about whether or not to implement goal-line technology in football on July 5th
Robinho's agent: "Robinho feels well in Milano, so it mostly depends on what Milan's plans are."
