La Stampa: Berlusconi puts Milan on sale

Berlusconi is disappointed in the way Milan has started the season, and will soon put Milan on sale, according to newspaper La Stampa. Milan president was widely angry after Milan drew with Anderlecht in the Champions League.
According to the same newspaper, Berlusconi wanted to sack Allegri right after Anderlecht match, but Galliani stepped in and decided to give Allegri one last chance to save his job. Let's not forget Milan has played three games in San Siro scored zero goals and has a stats of two defeats and one draw.
This situation has annoyed Berlusconi who is reported to have said to closer friends:
"If someone is willing to buy Milan, I will sell the club immediately. I feel ashamed the way Milan started this season"

Berlusconi is Milan president for 26 years now, and has won everything. Few seasons ago it was reported that there are some sheiks interested in buying Milan but then Berlusconi rejected any offer to sell Milan.

Massimiliano Allegri's future to be decided this weekend

With a disastrous campaign so far this season, AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri’s future could be decided by the game against Udinese on Sunday.

In four games so far, the Rossoneri have only recorded one win, which came against Bologna in week two, while the other games which were played at San Siro ended in two defeats against Sampdoria and Atalanta respectively, and the Champions League draw against Anderlecht.

Even worse, Milan failed to score in those three games held at the San Siro.
Reports suggest that Diavolo president Silvio Berlusconi has thought of axing the former Cagliari tactician while his right hand Adriano Galliani wants to give Allegri another chance against Udinese.
Should Milan dismiss Allegri, Mauro Tassotti who was part of the coaching staff during Carlo Ancelotti’s era might get the chance until the end of the season.

Benitez agent dismisses Milan link

Yesterday it was rumored that Rafa Benitez is ready to overtake from Allegri Milan's position as head coach.
Benitez has been unemployed since leaving Milan's city rival, Inter. Speculations begin to fire up recently because Milan has the worst Seria A start for 82 years.
This situation made Galliani to publicly back Allegri by saying that Allegri's spot is secure for now in San Siro.
Rafa Benitez agent on the other side was fast to deny all the rumours that link Bentiz with Milan

"It is not true that Benitez has put himself forward to AC Milan," said the Spaniard's agent Manuel Garcia Quillon. But if the Rossoneri should call, he would evaluate the proposal and listen carefully.
If Milan called we'll speak about it because we are ready to listen to everything - and not only from Italy."

"Year Zero for MIlan"-Allegri, fans to protest

Massimiliano Allegri admits “this is Year Zero for Milan” after losing 12 players including Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The fans are threatening protests at Saturday evening’s Trofeo TIM, where the Rossoneri will face Inter and Juventus in a mini-tournament at Bari’s Stadio San Nicola.

“This is Year Zero for Milan,” Coach Allegri told Sky Sport Italia.

“In all 12 champions have left, some due to their age and others because of decisions made by the club. We couldn't say no to PSG. We must work on the foundations, even if there are still many players who remained. There is a month left in the transfer market and last season the team really changed its identity right at the end of that window.”

Thiago Silva and Ibrahimovic were sold to PSG this week, while the likes of Alessandro Nesta, Gennaro Gattuso, Clarence Seedorf, Pippo Inzaghi, Gianluca Zambrotta, Alberto Aquilani and Mark Van Bommel were released at the end of their contracts.

Milan officials have met with Guardiola

AS today came up with an interesting theory that says former Barcelona manager Pep Guardiola could end up managing Milan next season. According to the same source, Milan officials have met with Guardiola and talks about the possibilities of two parties working together.
At the moment Guardiola is enjoying his vacation from Barcelona with whom Guardiola won 14 trophies in over 4 years with them.
There are speculations that Milan management have grown tired with Allegri especially after last year where Milan won zero trophies.
For Guardiola's services interested are also Chelsea and Bayern Munchen. The letter team especially seems more interested in Guardiola, reports from there suggest that their current coach will leave the team in the coming weeks with Guardiola being the favorite to replace him.
[UPDATE] - Latest reports say Guardiola is very close in becoming the new coach of Russian national team. Sport-Express daily claims the plane carrying Guardiola will land in Moscow on Friday.
According to one of the paper's sources, former RFU head Sergay Fursenko signed a contract with the Spanish coach before retiring last week, while there’s also information that the details of a future deal are only to be discussed in the Russian capital.
During his four-year stay at Barcelona, Guardiola has won three Spanish championships and lifted the Champions League twice.
The 41-year-old announced quits from the club this May after the Catalans missed out on both the La Liga and Champions League titles.
Russia are in search of a new coach after Dick Advocaat decided not to prolong his deal with the RFU, leaving the national team right after their failure in the Euro 2012 group stages.
Italy’s Fabio Capello, Zenit coach Luciano Spaletti as well as local specialists Valery Gazzaev and Aleksandr Borodyuk are also linked with the Russian job.

Allegri on keeping Thiago Silva: "It is a huge gift to the team and the fans"

The Brazil international appeared to be the verge of moving to Paris Saint-Germain but the former Italian Prime Minister decided against selling the player at the last minute

AC Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri has expressed his gratitude to club owner Silvio Berlusconi for turning down Paris Saint-Germain's bid for star defender Thiago Silva, describing it as "a huge gift".
The Brazil international appeared bound for the Parc des Princes after the Qatari-owned Ligue 1 outfit offered €46 million for his services. However, Berlusconi changed his mind over the deal and Thiago Silva now looks set to remain at San Siro along with another rumoured PSG target, Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
"It was a big decision and president Silvio Berlusconi gave a huge gift to the team and fans," Allegri told Sky Sport Italia.
"Ibrahimovic will also stay. He had a strong season, scoring 28 goals. The club decided not to dismantle the squad and will keep the foundations of the team intact. The side is almost complete, but the market is open until August 31 and anything can still happen."
Thiago Silva is now being tipped to sign an improved contract with the club he joined from Fluminense in 2009.
